Oxygen therapy is the administration of oxygen as a therapeutic aid. Oxygen therapy benefits the body by increasing the supply of oxygen to the body on a cellular level and thereby increasing the availability of oxygen to the body tissues.
The FDA really does seem to hate Diabetics.
Killer diabetes drug Byetta has once again been linked to severe organ damage and death… and the FDA has once again made them (can you guess?) change the warning label.
Last year, it was increased risk of hemorrhagic pancreatitis (which caused several deaths) that got added to the label. This year, it’s kidney problems – including 62 cases of acute kidney failure – which can be fatal.
What will it take for the FDA to stop messing around with the label and pull this dangerous drug from the market?
I hope the answer isn’t thousands of deaths.

FDA-Approved Gout Drug Can Kill You
Gout comes with killer pain… but Colchys, the latest FDA-approved preventive treatment, could really kill you.
Knowing that this drug can cause fatal toxic reactions (especially when used at the same time as many common medications) – even in approved dosages! – the FDA still approved it. The agency issued a safety alert on July 30 because colchicine (the generic name) could cause death even when taken sporadically for treating acute flare-ups.
But still, they gave Colchys the green light as a daily preventive just this week (November 1-7, 2009).
How deadly is this drug? The FDA found 169 deaths linked with colchicine… including 117 where the people took only the recommended, approved dose.
Apparently, Colchys can interact VERY BADLY with many other, very common drugs (like Lipitor, Prilosec,
erythromycin, Prozac, and Imodium… just to name a few), increasing the risk of potentially fatal colchine toxicity.
On top of that, the potential for non-fatal but still horrific adverse events is pretty big – the first page of the prescribing information is honestly terrifying:
1. Thrombocytopenia
2. Aplastic anemia
3. Neuromuscular toxicity
How any doctor could prescribe such a dangerous drug when there are highly effective, totally safe natural remedies
for gout is unthinkable.

I was just looking for stuff on obesity and breast cancer and was skimming most of it but I did read your’s properly. I think it’s time that more teenage magazines took responsibility and covered more serious issues such as breast cancer and obesity.
I agree. But it is really our problem because we have to tr and raise these children into responsible adults. I think we have a responsibility as parents to demand that these teen mags stop filling our kids heads with how ‘special’ spoiled rich brats are and start giving them more valuable information about the world they live in.
But, of course, interest in the world, like everything else, begins in the home.
