The 7-year old was in serious condition when she was admitted to Children’s Hospital and Medical Center.
She already had lung disease, and it was made much worse by the flu virus. Doctors say the virus can be deadly when the body is deprived of oxygen.
The girl wasn’t getting enough oxygen, so doctors tried a rare procedure. ECMO is normally used on premature babies who are having trouble breathing. It involves running a patient’s blood through an oxygen machine.
Oxygen is pumped into the blood before it returns to the body. Dr. Jeff DeMare at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center (In Omaha, Nebraska) says it took eight days to complete the ECMO procedure on the girl. “When you’re stuck with a well you try this really aggressive therapy or the child passes away, it makes the decision significantly easier.”
The procedure gave the child enough oxygen to regain her strength and survive her bout with H1N1.

It makes me so angry. Not your post but the fact that so many women, and obviously some men have to experience the trauma of breast cancer. I found your post when I was looking for breast cancer and obesity. I thought it was worth a couple of minutes to read. The more we research, the more knowledge we have, the better prepared we are to fight, and beat, this disease.
I agree and it can be beat. Many have done it already.
I think that its important to understand that cancer is a fungus. This is information that has been klept from the public for whatever reason. This is the basis of so many Hollywood people who travel to Germany when they receive a cancer diagnosis.
As a fungus, cancer can be easily removed from the human body using H202 as they have used in Germany for about the last 70 – 100 years.
We have to stay alert. Remember that it wasn’t until Merck had completed making and promoting Gardasil that we were told that cervical cancer was caused by a virus!
Amazing how many women had to die before that little bit of profoundly important information was subtly leaked in Merck’s promotion of Gardasil!
